I know you by the way you chew your hair Always smacking your lips, spittin’ everywhere I know you by the way you tie your shoes Always one by one, never two by two I know you by the way you walk I know you by the way you talk around Like politicians never get the good light Always say they’re down bad for the good fight I know you by the way you move Sway your hips and watch them swoon I’ve never been up this path I’ve never been down so bad I heard you grow watermelons by the bay Fucked around down there on a Thursday I heard you got caught with a fire bird Little did you know that word was the bird, babe I heard you did things out there I heard the devil cut your hair I heard you packed your skin full of black ink Just to impress some girl that you met in the drink, babe I know you by the way you move Sway your hips and watch them swoon I’ve never been up this path I’ve never been down so bad La la la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la la La la la la la la la la La la la la la la la La la la la la la la la la I need help, I need help, I need help I know you by the way you move Sway your hips and watch them swoon I’ve never been up this path I’ve never been down so bad I know you by the way you chew your hair Always smacking your lips, spittin’ everywhere I know you by the way you tie your shoes Always one by one, never two by two I know you by the way you walk I know you by the way you talk around Like politicians never get the good light Always say they’re down bad for the good fight I know you by the way you move Sway your hips and watch them swoon I’ve never been up this path I’ve never been down so bad

Honey Bunny 05:19
Don’t walk on by With that sly grin like you always tend to do And don’t act surprised When those sour dreams turn out to be the truth And I won’t say I told you so But I won’t take the blame for you So why don’t you grow a sense And find somebody new to chew And don’t act confused When you got nothing left to lose Honey bunny And if I were you I would find someone new to chew Honey bunny And don’t act so scared When the end of the world is here, dear It’s not like you had eternities to prepare So when the sun implodes Or our minds decide to go don’t fear I’m sure you’ll get over all of us by next year And don’t act confused When you got nothing left to lose Honey bunny And if I were you I would find someone new to chew Honey bunny And I’ve gotten used Accustomed to the shit you do Honey bunny So if I were you I would find someone new to chew Honey bunny And don’t act confused When you got nothing left to lose Honey bunny And if I were you I would find someone new to chew Honey bunny And I’ve gotten used Accustomed to the shit you do Honey bunny So if I were you I would find someone new to chew Honey bunny

Crows Go 03:55
The barn shakes when the wind blows I do not know where the time goes I lost track when those cowboys Road on bare back making all that noise The local whore, she doesn’t know much I can tell that she’s got a big crush On a rich man from Calgary I don’t think he sees what she sees The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows My heart scratches up your left sleeve I don’t know where he’s tryna be My collar never gets too loose My bestest friend is a humble noose The haystacks block all the sun I cannot fall for another one Your high beams are too damn bright I can’t see past your underbite The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows The crows go when the wind blows

Trudge 03:31
I keep being told to be quiet You’ve got a disease, I can cure it My medicine might make you silly I won’t tell you lies but the truth will get ya I I I I I won’t tell you lies I I I I I won’t make you cry I I I I I will be your friend But a friend is just a weapon in disguise Your belly aches, I couldn’t care less I’ll hold your hair when you vomit Don’t trust the words of your parents I won’t be your god, but you’re welcome to protest it I I I I I won’t tell you lies I I I I I won’t make you cry I I I I I will be your friend But a friend is just a weapon in disguise I I I I I won’t tell you lies I I I I I won’t make you cry I I I I I will be your friend But a friend is just a weapon in disguise I can’t see straight You can’t kill me Lock your door Don’t try to please me You make me laugh Ha ha ha ha I I I I I won’t tell you lies I I I I I won’t make you cry I I I I I will be your friend But a friend is just a weapon in disguise

I found you sitting calmly in the shower of another house And you can’t get out Your halo chokes you softly and I don’t know how 3:13 on the stove top and the kettle screams Your name I can’t get my feet to stay in place The hardwood creeks softly when the man stands up He knows That the reapers always been so close He knows, he knows The shoe box in the closet let’s his secrets out So loud His bones always seemed to let him down

Bucket Leaks 04:33
My bucket’s got leaks I’ll fix it next week That’s what I tell myself Just another empty promise Something worthless Something else My chimney needs sweeps Hope she don’t leave me I can’t be by myself Just another empty picture Took it with her Left on the shelf I patch it up with makeshift bandages on my knees I see you in a different light than you’ve ever seen me I don’t know why I don’t know why I built these walls just to tear them down Kitchen on fire, hung from the wire Everything burns just to bring me down I don’t know why I don’t know why I built these walls just to tear them down Kitchen on fire, hung from the wire Everything burns just to bring me down My buckets got leaks Take it down the creek Fill it with something else Just another inconvenience Broke-bone genius Smoked me out My windows need cleaned Pine chair beneath me Pine wood can’t bend itself Gotta fix that leaking faucet God-face prophet Fuck yourself I patch it up with makeshift bandages on my knees I see you in a different light than you've ever seen me I don’t know why I don’t know why I built these walls just to tear them down Kitchen on fire, hung from the wire Everything burns just to bring me down I don’t know why I don’t know why I built these walls just to tear them down Kitchen on fire, hung from the wire Everything burns

You wash your hands of All this filthy shit, but You still go to bed With a dirty conscience I wanna know what You hide in your room Beneath your twin bed Is it something good? Do you feel embarrassed? Do you feel that guilt? Is there something real nasty building it’s home under there? I wanna know what You think when I’m gone Do you think about all the foul things that turn you on? Are you feeling normal? Do you feel okay? Do you think that everybody in this room feels the same way? You wash your hands of All this filthy shit, but You still go to bed with a dirty conscience You say “daddy, don’t walk so damn fast” I hate your guts, so don’t get so mad You dance just like a honky tonk cat I wanna see you lay on your back You hide all the dark Inside of your head Behind a brick wall of happiness You act so tough, but You like it rough, but You can’t feel a thing Unless it’s frightening You want it harder You’re screaming louder You’re moving faster But you can’t make it end You say “daddy, don’t walk so damn fast” I hate your guts, so don’t get so mad You dance just like a honky tonk cat I wanna see you lay on your back

Slingshot 02:55
My old man, he’s got a shotgun He’s always got someone to outrun He’s wanted by the blue for first-degree I don’t think he knows about me He lives in a shack, oh, out west He chops his own wood on his land He’s got a dog, it’s dark as can be My mama told me stories to scare me I knew a boy he had a slingshot He causes trouble, never seemed to get caught He landed in the cage at fourteen I think he was the same age as me He broke out when he turned nineteen Road a bike out west to Calgary Met a man in a shack with a good old dog He fed him and taught him how to write some songs They made a gang and terrorized the west coast People watched as they burned down the red rose I heard they got caught on the borderline Sixteen bullets did their things to take their lives

Yar, she blows! The tin bucket's tipping Tryna sneak a peak before the curtains thicken Slick, silk linen Gets the blood dripping Hoist up the flag before the clock starts ticking Oi! I've got a vision Of horsemen visitin’ Burning up the earth with her heart still in it Hurtin’ something bad when my hearts not in it Digging up a grave just to put spit in it Hold your horses, the hour hand’s twisting Our hands touch, my spine starts twitching Drink a lot of poison ‘cause I'm fed up living “Live, laugh, love” on the wall in the kitchen Body is a dog it needs a walk when it's timid Graveyard watches and she yearns from a distance Quicksand sorrow is a sweet thing to sink in Stuck in a stew without a pot to piss in

Pigs Fly 04:51
The painter cries when the paint dries I don’t see worth in all his white lies He better run when those pigs fly This writer’s got guns and those wild eyes The painter hides with the train times He knows the smoke is not a good sign He doesn’t know he’s already died I’ve killed him more than a dozen times The painter cries when his insides Get thrown around on the playground Drive that knife inside of his gut now Twist that blade and drop his scrawny knees down I’ve heard the words of the lord, loud She says my soul is ready hell bound I’ve seen the colour of the paint now It’s red like blood and rushing through this town The painter hides with the train times He knows the smoke is not a good sign He doesn’t know he’s already died I’ve killed him more than a dozen times

about

This album is a collection of songs that all four of us have poured ourselves into in every possible sense. We have been playing most of these songs for about a year and we are pumped to finally give you all the ability to listen and (hopefully) love each track as much as we do. Our sound continues to grow and develop and this album is a painting of that process. It is weird, and it is meaningful. Lyrically and musically Gregor and Zach have puked their hearts out, Jonny and Simon took those songs and elevated them to a completely different level.

We also owe our lives to Dylan Ward at Shiftwork Recording for taking our album and augmenting it through mixing. He is our true love.

Special thanks to Amelia for supporting us in every way she can, as well as providing the pressed flowers for the album artwork.

🌸From all of Dad Patrol- thank you for allowing us to do this. We love you.🌸
