I knew a boy he had a slingshot
He causes trouble, never seemed to get caught
He landed in the cage at fourteen
I think he was the same age as me
He broke out when he turned nineteen
Road a bike out west to Calgary
Met a man in a shack with a good old dog
He fed him and taught him how to write some songs

They made a gang and terrorized the west coast
People watched as they burned down the red rose
